Kaniksu Ultras is a 501(c)(3) organization affiliated with the Road Runners Club of America. Our mission is to conduct endurance events that honor our Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape (SERE) Community. The endurance runs are held in the Lower Selkirk Mountain Range of Colville National Forest, WA. Please, come experience one of the most beautiful areas the Pacific Northwest has to offer. Proceeds from our event go to the SERE Association, a 501(c)(3) which brings together Past, Present & future SERE community members & provides scholarships & emergency funds to military personnel in need.

Participants complete this course by running a 32-mile loop and finishing on an 18 mile out-and-back. The loop is very runnable and made up of single track trails used mostly by hikers and some dirt bikes. The out-and-back section climbs nine miles through the forest and ends on the rocky summit of Granite Peak. Participants will descend the same route and finish at our race headquarters in Frater Lake. There is a 16-hour cut-off.

This 18-mile course is an absolute grind on the way up and a VERY fast run on the way down! Runners will start and finish at our Frater Lake Headquarters and run the out-and-back section (Granite Peak) of the K50 course. The trail is very runnable and boasts a 2,500’ vertical gain that consists of some of the best trails in the area. At the mid-point, runners will be awarded with one of the best views the area has to offer. There is a generous 8-hour cut-off for this course.
Emory Corwine Memorial Ruck Race

This event is a relay race where 1-5 participants will complete one of 5 legs, carrying a minimum 35 pound pack/ruck for males and 25 pound for females packed with non-perishable food items. The Ruckers travel over the same course as the K50. Ruckers have a 20-hour time limit to complete the course. This race event is to honor USAF SERE Specialist, Emory Corwine. Emory passed in a motorcycle accident in Airway Heights, WA on his way to perform flag duty one early morning June of 2012. He loved pushing himself and was always making others around him better.

Come join us in Spokane, WA for a race where all Runners and Ruckers are created equal. You don't have to be fast to be contender in this race format.
This race is a last person standing race.
Meaning, you just have to out-will all others on a day-time loop and a night out-and-back. Every loop or out-and-back you complete means you're in first place! Come test yourself in this super cool and fun race format. For the Runners, you'll be running a 4.1667 mile trail loop during the day and 4.1667 mile out-and-back on the Centennial Trail during the night. For Ruckers, you'll be on a 3.2 mile trail loop during the day and a 3.2 mile out-and-back on the Centennial Trail during the night. The Centennial Trail is a paved pedestrian/cyclist path.
Space is limited to 50 Runners and 50 Ruckers.
